Interior architecture
The interior begins with space: proportion, movement, light and the relationship between rooms. Finishes and furniture work best when they follow a resolved architectural idea.

A considered approach to your home.
We develop interior architecture alongside the building design, considering stairs, kitchens, bathrooms, storage, joinery and lighting as parts of one home. Materials are tested through samples and visual studies so their character can be assessed in relation to the wider scheme.
For an existing house, this work may begin with rethinking the plan. For a new home, it allows structure, services and interiors to be coordinated before key decisions become expensive to change. Details such as door alignments, ventilation routes and lighting recesses can then be designed with greater clarity.
Ashley Park demonstrates the relationship between contemporary living spaces, bespoke joinery and glazed additions. Gilston Road shows how interior architecture can connect established rooms with new lower-level accommodation.
We also work within wider consultant teams. At Rutland Gardens, Taylor Howes provided interior design. Responsibilities for architectural interiors, decoration, furniture and procurement are agreed explicitly for each project.
