The earliest work explores the site: arrival, orientation, neighbouring buildings, views and the character of the surrounding area. We test layouts and building forms through drawings and visual studies, helping you compare the possibilities before committing to a direction.
As the design develops, architecture and interiors are considered together. The stair, daylight, storage, kitchens and principal rooms are part of the same conversation as structure, environmental performance and the building envelope. Specialist consultants contribute where their expertise is needed.
Our appointment can extend from feasibility and planning through technical design, tender and construction. We agree the scope with you, establish clear decisions at each stage and coordinate the information required to carry the design into the completed home.
